Found UX: Cable tie stopper for hand sanitizer dispenser

Another delightful find: The problem with these hand pump dispensers containing hand sanitizers is that every time you pumped some sanitizer onto your hand, you almost always end up pumping way too much liquid that shoots out all over.

These pumps were designed for more viscous liquids like hand soap or shampoo, dispensing a good handful with each pump. But when filled with hand sanitizers of almost the same viscosity as water, there was less resistance and a handful of that liquid is way too much for the hand to contain.

It was until a few months ago i noticed this simple hack at grocery stores and other places where they placed a cable tie around the neck, limiting the distance you can press down, limiting the amount of liquid coming out on to the hand.
