How blind people use iPhones

I’ve recently joined GovTech and being a designer in a government agency, one of the areas that really interests me is in the area of accessibility – how do we design interfaces that are accessible for all. I’m slowly immersing myself more in this space and am hoping to become a designer that is competent in designing for accessibility.

Here’s a video I found on YouTube that gives us a sneak peek into how users with visual impairments use their phones. I love how they can actually use their phone with the display turned off – which adds this layer of added security and privacy. I thought this was really cool!

Also was reading about Apple’s accessibility features. Something for me to take note of. Perhaps a good place for me to start would be to update my resume and website to be accessible.
