Took a recent trip to Macdonald’s where the Prosperity Burger once again returned to its menu for the Chinese New Year period.

As i was ordering to the touch screen system, it had a “not available” tag with the item selection in a deactivated state. What was pleasantly surprisingly was when I looked up the track my order number and saw the “not available” tag on the main menu display too.

Which is pretty neat, given that probably the inventory system automatically updates the menu displays. This is such a good example of designing for the larger ecosystem.
