Postcard: Almond Blossom
Postcard: Almond Blossom
SGD 3.90
The almond blossom only happens within a very short window of time in Israel. Almond, or שקד (sha•kad) in Hebrew, means diligent, and is mentioned in Jeremiah 1:11-12 and Exodus 25:33-34.
It is the first flower to bloom after winter, but one of the last ones to bear fruit – a picture of diligence and perseverance in the times of our lives where we might not see any ‘fruits’.
This almond blossom was captured in garden of Yad Hashmona after our lunch there.
