Till Death Do Us Part

To you my love,
I see us dying.
Decaying slowly into the fragility of age.

Yet a process to be despised
we should instead celebrate.
For there is no one else I would
rather decay with but you.

The Brief:     Create a wearable accessory using only found objects.
Time Limit:   1 hour

A fun in-class assignment we had this week in Creative Strategies (taught by Frido Beisert). Responding to the brief, I created a series of jewellery out of decaying foliage that I foraged from Art Center's sculpture garden.

I wrote and recited an accompanying poem to add some depth to the collection when I presented it to the class. The collection includes a ring, cufflinks, brooch, and key fob.
